The ministry of Lectors provides an opportunity to proclaim the word of God to our fellow parishioners. Lectors are tasked to proclaim two readings and the Universal Prayers. Lectors will be paired for a month-long assignment after receiving introductory training.
Each lector will receive a take home workbook which contains the Sunday readings for the year. The workbook is used to prepare the lector prior to proclaiming the word of God on Sunday. The workbook also provides guidance on proper word pronunciation and insightful biblical commentary.
Lectors will choose the Sunday Mass of their choice, which Easter and Christmas are as needed. The ministry of Lectors provides a wonderful opportunity to participate in the celebration of the Mass.
